What happens in the event of a rain-out?

Our rain-out policy only applies if less than 6 races have been completed. You must retain your original ticket. This will be valid for entry to our next event. If more than 6 races have been completed, no refund or re-entry is available.

What happens if we pre-purchased tickets online and the meeting is cancelled?

Accepted Answer

If the event is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances prior to the start time, your ticket will transfer to the postponement date, or the next available event if cancelled.

What is your media policy?

Accepted Answer

Any photos, video, or audio captured at Ruapuna Speedway may be used for personal or private use only, provided such use is limited, non-commercial, and does not constitute event coverage.

Personal or private use does not include the recording or distribution of full races, extended race segments, or continuous long-form footage, whether published publicly or within closed or private online platforms.

Ruapuna Speedway retains the unrestricted right to use any media captured at the venue for promotional, broadcast, or archival purposes, including but not limited to audio, image, and video content.

Any media used for commercial, promotional, broadcast, or long-form distribution purposes requires prior written approval and the granting of media rights by Ruapuna Speedway.

Ruapuna Speedway reserves the right to determine whether content exceeds personal or private use and may require removal of any media published in breach of this policy.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in the immediate removal of the individual from Ruapuna Speedway and, where deemed necessary, the issuance of a trespass notice in accordance with applicable legislation.

Can I live stream the racing?

No. The racing is live streamed through our own provider, RJPTV. Anyone caught live streaming on the premises may be removed immediately.

What time do public gates open?

Our main ticketing office opens at 4:00pm. The pit gate is open for anyone to enter through from 12:30pm if you wish to have access to the stadium earlier. We accept cash, card, season passes and sell programmes at this gate also.

Can we bring our own food into the venue?

Yes! We do have food vendors on site, but we encourage you to bring your own too. This includes commercial or home-made.

Can we bring alcohol into the venue?

Accepted Answer

Our policy is strictly NO GLASS, NO ALCOHOL. We welcome you bringing your own non-alcoholic beverages, but please refrain from bringing any glass or alcohol on site with you. We have licensed bar areas if you wish to drink, but the main stadium is alcohol free. If you are caught with alcohol in our alcohol-free zone, you will be removed from the venue.

Do we have to pay to park?

No, we have ample parking available free of charge in front of the venue. We also have disabled parking available in front of the ticket box.

Do spectators have access to the pits?

Accepted Answer

The pits are open until 5pm prior to a race meeting, they are also open following the conclusion of the last race of the night. You must be wearing closed toe shoes at all times if you are walking through the pits. They are closed to the public and monitored by security throughout the meeting. Anyone not wearing a pit band may be removed.

But, we encourage everyone to come to the pits after the races to meet drivers and get autographs!

Yes, our ticket booths and most vendors take both cash and card.

Will my bags be searched?

By entering our venue, you are consenting to being subject to an on-site bag check. This will be carried out by our security team if required. Please note that Ruapuna Speedway reserves the right to remove and dispose of any contraband attempted to be brought into the venue.

Is Ruapuna Speedway pet friendly?

We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing any animals along with you and leave them safely at home. Registered service dogs are allowed.
