Preparations for this years Speedway Season are well underway with a new track surface being laid and modifications being made to the safety fence. Merv Fergurson Ruapuna's ground's keeper has topped up the racing surface with a mix of clay and crusher dust Fergurson pointing out this will help with ongoing track preparations for the busy season ahead. Keith Brough Ruapuna's Marketing Manager and Qualified Engineer has made changes to the safety fence by lifting the steel ropes surrounding the track to meet up with SNZ regulations, changes made to the safety fence should see the granting of a Speedway NZ racing license in time for opening Night Saturday 7th November.
