With winter about to set in Ruapauna Speedway will be quiet for a few months but on saturday afternoon Ray Baughan and Matt Honeywell hired the track and gave there sponsors a chance to experience the thrill of driving a sprintcar. Long time sponsor of speedway Allan Daly from Avon Insurance Brokers was looking forward to his drive and did several laps around the track Daly has been involed with Ray Baughan for a number of years and purchased the 95c Sprintcar two seasons ago. Each of the drivers had to sit the speedway mentor course and purchase a day license while Honeywell and Baughan stumped up for the track hire.
